A study produced by credit company Marbles.com has seen Keele University crowned the cheapest university town in the UK. The research analysed the cost of university staples such as rent, gym membership, cinema tickets, taxis and meals for students at 50 universities across the UK.

Top Five Most Affordable University Towns in the UK
1. Keele
Keele University was the first new UK university of the 20th century and was founded to promote interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary scholarship.
