Who will Rishworth School suit?
Around a quarter of the 442 students are boarders, 75% of whom come from overseas. As a non-academically selective school, it fosters a family atmosphere and a strong interaction between teachers and pupils. Those with dyslexia, dispraxia and dyscalculia are welcome, but pupils with serious behaviour problems are not admitted. Those with sporting ability will thrive and there are excellent gym and physical fitness facilities.
Outcomes
Most move on to university. While considerable attention is given to making sure every pupil is placed according to their abilities, the school is proud that the highest achievers – including a recent musician who acquired over 800 university entrance points – can get into the very top institutions. Representation at national sporting level further indicates the consistently high standards of physical education tuition.
